Chum salmon (Yakut. Кэтэ) is a member of Pacific salmon genus and is the most popular and common species of red fish. This fish can be 102 cm long and weight 15 kilograms. Its caviar is the largest and has a beautiful orange-red colour.

Chum salmon has a very large habitat range compared to other members of the salmon family. It lives in a basin of the Arctic Ocean.
